Through public policy, state intervenes in economic activity and social actions to correct the free market and / or promote accepted social values. This book is addressed primarily to students from political sciences and public administration through an interdisciplinary approach, which studies public policy both as a subdomain of political science and through economic sciences, administrative, management and decision theory .
The first part, developed by Adrian Miroiu presents general issues of the public policy analysis, focusing on two aspects: the concept of public policy and the commission of public policy (definition, analysis, agenda setting, formulation, rationality and decision implementation assessment).
The second and third were produced by Mireille Radoiu and Marian Zulean. The second part presents formal methods and techniques of analysis of public policy: defining the problem, the prospective analysis of a policy recommendation, monitoring and evaluation. The third part includes practical advices for analysis and evaluation of public policy, a guide to the drafting of a work of public policy and description of qualitative research techniques.
Adrian Miroiu leads the department of political philosophy at the Faculty of Political Science of National School of Political Studies and Public Administration. Mireille Rădoi, director general of the publishing house Triton, teaches the course “of national security institutions” at the Faculty of Political Science of National School of Political Studies and Public Administration. Marian Zulean isdoctor. in sociology military, presidential adviser in the Department of National Security and associate professor at the University of Bucharest and the National School of Political Studies and Public Administration.
